Our vision is to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers in Nepal, by integrating Tinker Labs within the school curriculum and guided by teachers. We aim to encourage early involvement with science and engineering, particularly in underrepresented groups.
To accomplish this, we are trialing two Tinker Labs as proofs of concept in April 2021; we will be talking with schools willing to host the labs by providing the space, taking donations for materials and equipment, and recruiting volunteers who can assist with the day to day running of the labs; these volunteers may later become mentors. After we demonstrate the model and its impact, we aim to work with schools and government programmes to further expand.
